Jackets, Mitts, Toques, and Scarves for the Food Depot

We would like to offer jackets, mitts, toques, and scarves to some of our clients in need of winter clothing. This is not to disrupt the flow of winter items to the Bissell, but just to keep a small stock on hand here to give out where needed. If you can bring in any of those items, please mark them for the Food Depot.

Church Calendars

The United Church Women will be selling church calendars for $8 in Memorial Hall after service. This year the calendar celebrates the United Church’s 85th anniversary. Buy early for Christmas presents or for marking next year’s events.

"Song Forever New"

“Song Forever New”, the Robertson-Wesley's choirs' new CD is now available after service and through the R-W office. The cost is $20 and it will make great Christmas presents!

Blitzen's Baaar

Blitzen’s Bazaar has a place for you!!
If you or your friends sew, preserve, bake, or make crafts, reserve your spot for the sale on Saturday, November 27th. The rental fee is $25 for a five foot table. This event will feature Christmas items, treasures, CD’s, DVD’s, T-shirts, and books. Contact Carmen at the church office for more information.

Interim Ministry Staff

Our efforts to hire a temporary ministry staff person to serve during the coming year while the regular process of needs assessment and search are under way have met with success! The Rev. Heather Koots has joined our staff on a half-time basis till the end of June 2010. Heather was introduced to the congregation on Sep 20 and she begins working primarily with the Kids' Church program and getting to know the youth and young adults. As time permits, her work will expand to include other areas of ministry as well.

Church Board Manual

Our Church Board Manual is currently being revised. The draft version is available to view or download. Any comments or suggestions may be passed on through any Board members. Lorne Langman is the one who is doing the drafting. Next discussion of the manual revisions will be at the 2009 October 20 meeting.
